Back matter — the fine print
The terms of service
- last revised 17 July 2026
insinq.ink is the home of the writings of Insinq Datum. These terms set out the understanding between you and the site when you read, register, comment, or take up coaching. They are written to be read, not to intimidate — but by using the site you agree to them.
The service
insinq.ink publishes essays, poetry, articles, lectures, and DMTheory, and offers community features (accounts, comments, bookmarks, notes) and services such as debate coaching. The site is provided as-is and may change, pause, or gain and lose features over time.
Accounts
You may browse without an account. Registering unlocks the reading-room features. When you create an account you agree to:
- Provide accurate information and keep it current.
- Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Be at least 13 years of age.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, abuse the community, or attempt to compromise the site.
Your content
Comments, reviews, and notes you post remain yours. By posting publicly you grant insinq.ink a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the site alongside the work it responds to. You may delete your contributions at any time.
You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, deceptive, infringing, or spam. We may remove content that breaches this, at our discretion.
The writings
Everything published on insinq.ink — the essays, poetry, articles, lectures, and DMTheory — is © Insinq Datum unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote reasonably with attribution and a link. Republishing whole works, scraping the collection, or presenting the writings as your own is not permitted without written consent.
Donations & paid services
Donations and payments for services (such as coaching) are processed by Stripe; card details never touch our servers. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable. For paid services, scheduling and any refund arrangements are agreed when the engagement is booked — if something goes wrong, write to us and we will sort it out in good faith.
No warranties
The site is provided “as is”without warranties of any kind. The writings are works of philosophy, argument, and art — they are not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. We do our best to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, insinq.ink and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the site evolves. The dateline above always shows the current revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms; material changes to account features will be flagged on the site.
